1) In JCNA concours competition, do you verify the engine number by checking the number stamped on the block, and head, and comparing to the serial number plate?

2) Do you verify that the exterior & interior colors were original to that car (by chassis number), or can the car be ANY original/correct color combination?

Thanks,

Mark,
1) JCNA concours judging does not require confirming any engine, head or other data plate information. The only circumstance in which its information might be examined is if a Judge needs to check the car's serial or engine number to determine whether a particular feature is/was appropriate for its production sequence.

2) The car may have any standard interior/exterior color combination offered for its year or, where appropriate, for the range of years the particular model was made. It's true that the factory would custom paint some Jaguars any color the customer wanted. However, if your car is clearly a non-standard color, you are obliged to provide a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate proving that the car was delivered with that specific color or color combination. Cars with non-standard colors, whose Entrants cannot provide such proof, will receive substantial point deductions for wrong color or non-authentic paint finish. One exception to this would be if the car were entered in the S3 Modified Class of the new Special Division. A "wrong color" paint finish there, could be used toward the minimum 35 points of non-authentic deductions required to qualify the car for that particular class.

I hope this helps,
