Is it possible? Sure, anything is possible. The issue becomes the cost. Some companies like XK's Unlimited are offering retro-fit kits for Ser. I and II cars:

But that kit won't work for a Ser. III car. I don't know if they have one for the Ser. III, or if one is in the works. But that's just the main parts. If you don't do the work yourself, you'll have to pay someone to do it for you. Plus, you'll also have to get a new center console/radio enclosure to fit. If they don't have a kit, you'll need to find a bunch of donor parts from another Ser. III car, probably through someone who parts out cars, and put it all together yourself. Not a cheap alternative. There are also some "after-market" AC units that can be put in, but they certainly don't look original.

IMHO, unless you can get a kit with all needed parts, you'd be better off selling your non-AC Ser. III and buying one that was factory equipped.
