I am in the process of rebuilding my e type v12. I just received the engine back from the machine shop a few weeks ago. I have new pistons and rings and the machine shop honed the current liners. They said that the liners did not require boring. However, the machine shop didn't label the liners with the front side and cylinder number. I'm thinking that it doesn't matter as much since I have new pistons and rings. Sound right? I'd prefer not to purchase new liners but will if it means getting it done right.
