Hi , has anyone had any experiemce fitting a tow hitch and keeping it fairly indiscreet to a 92 XJ6 Sovereign . I'd like to fit one but have never seen one yet so I'm not sure how clean it can be done .

I had looked into putting one on my 1992 XJ6. You can only get Class I hitch set ups for these. They are the receiver design so the ball and ball mount can be removed and the receiver isn't really that noticeable. Class I hitches have a max tongue weight of 200 lbs and gross trailer weight of 2500 lbs. Is this enough for what you were planning on towing?
Draw-Tite and USA-Trailer-Hitches have what you're looking for a little over $200.00 and they're fairly easy to install.
