Looks like a wonderful group, hope you can help a Jaguar "newbie".
History: car has set for some time without being run almost one year. Was in a accident, though it did run when parked. New battery and fresh petro. Engine cranks, but does not start. Old battery was completely dead.
Questions: Are there security type lockouts that would cause the car not to start? I checked with a inexpensive hand scaner and am getting a P0430 and a P1199 fault code. Can not seem to find a referance to the P1199 in the Jag manual (CD version).
What is the best way to check for spark; hesitant to check with either as I do not know if that is an acceptable practice..
Any trouble shooting suggestions would be appreciated.
