I own a 1974 E type with an automatic transmission. The manual states that you remove the right angle drive connecting the speedometer cable to the transmission from under the car. I can't find it. Is it blocked from view by the muffler and its heat shield? In addition, the speedometer cable is molded into the right angle drive at the speedometer.
SNG Barratt says that this isn't normal. The speed ometer cable is fine and I would like to save it. Thanks for any help.

SnG is right--but you have 2 angle drives--one at the tranny and one on the back of the speedo. Doubt iif it is moulded just may look so. George Camp
