i am looking for a source for purchase of (or plans for making) the original-design satchel (bag) for storage of the side-curtains on my XK 140 OTS. Although the bags which I have work great & look nice, they are NOT Concours acceptable as of "original" design. Do not find these listed in the usual source catalogues (ie.XK Ltd, Barrats, etc). Please help!!

source for side-curtain stowage bags
Jerry,
I purchased a storage bag from Bill Bassett (no affiliation) who is also restoring the side curtains and top for my August, 1953 XK 120 OTS. Excellent workmanship. Amherst, MA

Rob,
Bill Bassett at Bassett's jaguar in RI is currently making me a new interior. I'd be surprised if he couldn't make original style side curtain bags. Bill has been restoring XK's for decades and has played a role in many of the elite examples.
I'm in Rockford, MI. I thought I knew of every XK in the area, but yours is a new one for me. We've had ours since 1989 and recently decided to complete a frame-off restoration. You can see the progress at www.celebration-village.com/cars. How long have you had your XK? What color is it. Do you drive it locally?

Jerry,
I wondered if you ever received an answer to your question? I too would like to find authentic bags to store my side curtains.

Rob, I also heard from Bill Bassett re. "side curtain" satchet and will probably have him make mine also -but need to find a "sample patch" of interior color to send to him -as side-curtain bag is of enterior color. "Still-in-the-works"
