Does anyone know a source of gas tanks preferably stainless steel for a 92 XJS OT. I want to fix it only one time

Have you contacted Coventry West? They carry a lot of XJS part (NAYYY, just bought a lot of stuff from them when I had one). I'd suggest you try to talk to Dick Maury. He's a very knowledgeable and very nice guy. If they don't have them, he might be able to point you in the right direction.

One of the big culprits with gas tank deterioration in the XJS is that stupid pad under the tank. It gets wet and holds the moisture, almost guaranteeing the tank will rot. You might want to check "The Book" on Jag-lovers about that. I seem to remember that they have a suggested option to the tank pad to avoid that issue.
