The 2005 Slalom season is finally at an end, and the official standings for the year are now available on the JCNA website. All participants should review the standings and advise me immediately if there are any errors. Where JCNA numbers were missing, we attempted to correct that through use of the on-line system. However it is ultimately the responsibility of each participant to provide their JCNA number and those who failed to do so and who were not identified in the system did not receive official times toward national rankings.
Please note that under the Slalom Rules, a participant may win only ONE National Slalom Award per year. As a result, some participants who were previously listed as 1st, 2nd or 3rd in one class have been dropped in favor of a position in another class. Generally, a participant will be awarded the class in which they ranked the highest (ex.: 1st place in Class D awarded, 3rd place in Class H dropped). In some situations, where a participant is in the same ranking in more than one class, a choice will usually be allowed. As a result of the re-ranking, some people who would not have otherwise won a national trophy are now "in the money."
Congratulations to all of our participants on a great season, and to all of our national trophy winners.
