Hi all!

I hope you are all keeping well with everything going on in the World?

I am in the market to replace my car and an S-Type has come in to view. And my god what a beautiful car this is.
Its a 2005 S-Type 3.0 V6 auto with 36,000 miles on the clock. Is $7000 too much?

I know that the S-Type is famous for the creeping brown stuff (rust) on the sills, but I have also read horror stories about the transmission and the electronic handbrake. Is this the case?  Driving this car like a saint what should I get from the Transmission mileage wise? And is the electronic handbrake as much of a nightmare as portrayed.

Any other tips, tricks and things to look out for plus your honest feelings would be greatly appreciated.

I am an English lad and I love these cars, I would love to own one in the states, because you can't afford to own them in the UK due to fuel prices.

I look forward to your feedback. Many thanks in advance

Jon
