Well got my '94 XJS back on the road and took her for a spin (much to my 10 year-old's delight). Got a new battery tucked into the trunk and started silky smooth on the first turn of the key. I haven't driven since maybe this time last year and the XJS hasn't been out much in that time period. Felt good; heck, felt great!
Now the question: I've tried just about every wrench and socket I've got and even went out and got a 1/4th and 5/16ths Whitworth wrenches - but none of them seem to fit the two bolts for the battery cable terminals. Anybody got another suggestion about what they might be?
TIA,
Tony

George has you covered.
I'll suggest you run by a Lowe's Store and pickup one of the short 3" 10mm wrenches and keep with the XJS. Your frustration will be kept to a minimum that way. :-)
Cheers,

Thankya Mr. Camp. I'll give 10mm a try. Thought I'd tried it but it was so long ago maybe I was missing it in the set I had.

If they are factory they are 10 MM. Remove the negative first!
Gracias Mr. Petry.
I'll get a stubby 10mm for my carry bag. I already have been carrying a #2 Pozidriv in the car. Anything else you'd recommend for that in car tool bag?
