Based on an Internet search --
It appears all series one bonnet headlight buckets were originally painted with a silver paint on the inside, under the glass. I've always assumed this is to enhance reflectivity, which is logical. does anyone know if this was originally a special paint or simply a silver colored variety?

HIYA GREG / JAY; THE COLOR WAS NOT A SHINNY SILVER , BUT RATHER A DULL FLATSILVER GREY COLOR.
