I'm replacing the growler emblems on my Series II chrome hubcaps as the black painted background is fading. The growler motif appears to be "silver" in color but I'm told by the guys at Welsh Ent. that the orginal motif was in fact a "gold" color (part # C-27140) which has also faded over time.
Can anyone confirm the OEM color motif?

On the sedans up to 87 and ser 2 & 3 e types they were originally gold but turned to a silvery colour with age, from the series "5" models, 4.0 engines from 95 to 97 there were at least three colour options including red.
