I wanted a "REAL" ETYPE !.....
Its like saying I can beat up Muhamad Ali ....TODAY.
I was taught a LOOONG time ago after a complete concours restoration of my 1970 etype coupe.
The car looked like complete jewelry but ran like junk.
Ive got a secret.........February or so, 1970, Jag put milder cams in our 4.2's till the end of the run. Combine them with the 9 to 1 pistons, a 308 rear and triple carbs, you will enter the 28 mpg zone and Idle like a 1949 flat head Mercury, yes you can stand a dime sideways on the engine , running. Throw in the electronic ignition and you are complete.
P.S. It will always leak oil though, neopreme seals and all.
