I am looking for the US history of 1S70004BW, a light blue S3 coupe that was manufactured in August 1970, despatched to NY in November '70 and sold in July 1971 from the NY showroom. It was most likely part of the press launch in Palm Springs early 1971. According to XKE data, this could be the first 12 cylinder that still exists. It is mine since early 2016 and currently undergoing restoration to factory specifications (having been painted in all colors over the past 49 years. Anyone that knows a part of the history is welcome, that car left the US end of 1990 for The Netherlands.
