The Security System on my '94 xj6 vdp [U.S.model] is inoperative.
I have the programing instructions. However, the system will not go
into the ''learning mode''.I have checked for power to the sysyem
disable switch with the switch out of the circuit. There appears to
be no power to the switch. This is a basic system without the extra
sensors.
As far as I can tell from my Haynes manual and my JHM 1153 manual
the security module is in the boot on the uper LH side by the fuel
filler tube.
All I'm looking for is to have the remote lock/unlock feature
working. Any Suggestions?

Thx,

Ed

Stew, Thx For your reply.
the only fuse I know of is in the LHS fuse box, it is good. All the connectors in the trunk are tight and dry. It sure seems like the system has been "disconected" somewhere. Ed

Edward,
Have you checked the fuses? Also, we recently had a 2001 S-type with security system problems that were traced to moisture in the trunk shorting out the system.
