to: Mr. George Camp: HI George, HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
I just had a tire go flat, and when I bought this 1994 XJS, I forgot to check for the "key" that is used to loosen/tighten the security lug nut. I called Leith Jaguar in Cary, NC, and McGard in Buffalo, NY, but neither could help in acquiring one for my car, as they are no longer manufactured, and they are not from Mcgard, thus no id number. What is the magic that is needed in order to remove the lug so that I can mount the spare? Thanks for your time and consideration, Alice King

secure lug nut
Alice, any good tyre shop will have a tool to remove it, maybe even the Auto Club
so Alice sez....................TAKE EVERYTHING OUT OF THE BOOT! taped to the back of the spare is................you know...................the KEY for the lug! That has made our Thanksgiving even Happier. Thanks to all for your answers and those who had thoughts on how to solve the problem. stew, Alice's chauffeur
