I am experiencing a problem with the reclining function on both seats on my 2002 XK8. All other functions are working . There is a fuse for the " control module" for the seats but I would expect if that fuse was out , it would effect all seat functions. Any ideas?

Thanks Steve.. I thought it very odd too..and it would be very coincidental that both modules would have the same "moisture" or problem associated with the same function. I would think there should be separate fuses for the motors that provide for that function. I cannot find a wire diagram for the car which would be quite helpful. I have looked at the modules...just for connections , but I guess I will delve into them deeper ,as you suggest . Will post if I find something.

Dave,

It's odd that you lost the same function on both sides. There is not really anything "common" to both as they are separate systems, even the power supply is a different source. I would suggest removing the module from the front undersides of the seats. You'll see the module can be opened to expose the circuit board. See if there is any evidence of moisture ingress or corrosion on the circuit paths. You may even see a burned path that might be repairable.

Good luck!
