Hey everyone. I need to reupholster my 72 xj6, which I drive regularly. With apologies to purists, I have always preferred the early s3 VDP seats, both for reasons of comfort and cosmetics. Does anyone know whether those front and rear seats will fit into an s1 swb? If so, will the base of the rear VDP seats allow sufficient legroom in the swb? Thanks.

I have installed Series 3 seats in the front of a Series 1 car. They do sit slightly higher because of the motor mechanism but other than that, a pretty easy install. No difference in leg room. The rear seat is to different to install. I would suggest you have the rear original seat redone with the later pleats and leather so it will look the same as the front seats.
