I have a 67 e type which is missing the rubber grommet and grommet bracket that holds the 6 plug wires between the distributed and the head. I have purchased the two parts but can't find any photos of where it bolts and in which direction the bracket faces. George, you being the expert you are, or anyone, do you have any photos of how it was originally attached? I am assuming it is attached to one of the bolts that hold the thermostat housing to the intake manifold, but if that's the case it doesn't look correct. Help!

Gary if your car has AC then it goes to the thermostat housing but that is normal for later cars. The J 37 Factory Parts manual describes it pretty well on page 20. The clip you have-C25127 -grommet 3204--and distance piece C. 24795 bolt to "the front timing cover with the sleeve of PVC leading across the "V" in the head. A good picture of the arrangement can be found in Haddock (2ed) page 193 of the series 2 car (although bracket is bent) and the famous picture of E types at the factory (although I can not give you a ref. at this time) or Skilleter's "The Jaguar E Type-A collectors guide" P38 . I find no tech. bulletin changes until the 1968 car.
