Thanks for the reply. I hadn't seen it because I forgot to check the topic in the forum for the last few weeks. Yes, I am very interested in the old bar you have (if you still have it).
I wonder exactly what it looked like ... Did you say the front support bar bolted to a bracket under the passenger floor? That sounds do-able.
It sounds less painful than the strut to the rear. I would like to try it myself. Do you think I might be able to do it? I have done some frame brazing before on other vehicles that worked out well enough.
I guess you are away in California by now, but I would much appreciate a reply to this email. Oh, yes, could you put up the rag top over the roll bar? Or would I need to adapt it? Mine is a '71 Series II 4.2 model . What do you think?
