Any suggestions on how to remove exhaust sealing rings that reside between the exhaust manifold and the downpipe? The existing rings are in good shape but I'd like to install new ones. I tried gently tapping them loose but they didn't budge. Tried wedging them loose with a screwdriver - no luck. At the present time, they are attached to the downpipe, not the manifold.
