I have a good daily driver XJS V12 with manual transmission. Rarely need the A/C, which is a good thing as I can't keep freon in it. Once the freon gets low/gone then the compressor tends to squeal on startup. I am sort of afraid that it could seize up, throwing belts off, which of course is not a good thing. My question is what happens if I just take everything related to the A/C out of the engine compartment? Maybe a dumb question, but if I don't use it, what is the value? Simple is sometimes better, right?
