Can someone explain how to remove the Radio console/fascia in a Series 1? I know the bolts on the side need to be removed and then the console pulled out over the side pins, but once that is doen how do you get the entire unti with the radio out and over the shifter boot cleanly. i have tried and it goes a little bit and then will not budge. Any suggestions?

The console on my Series 2 came out easily, but getting it back in was a bear. I undid the nuts on the sides, pulled out the sides to clear the bolts, and tipped the whole unit, top backwards. Oh, I might have taken the nuts from the dash so it would tilt.
