Garfield I hear you and so does the rest of JCNA. Not who or whom you think JCNA is but it is you, me and everyone else. Unlike some other organizations in the UK we are a total voluntary group. Having said that there is a structure that you have direct input to. It starts with your local club leadership and then on to your regional directors-BTW I am one of your 2 regional directors..I do not remember anything from your club or you on this subject. That aside (and it was a small point) I think you have missed some posts and some reading in the Jaguar Journal. The current JCNA website dates to 1992 or so. It was one of the first club sites and it has served well but it is beyond repair. Realizing that your BOD directed precious funds toward a new site last March. While it is very close to being offered it is yet finished. Perhaps if we had raised dues and paid a lot more we could have done it faster but we did what we thought we could afford. So when you state no one is listening I am not sure where that comes from. As far as displaying a lack of concern that is simply not true or even fair. The current BOD is the best group I have seen in a while/ What we do need is volunteers but then that call has gone out over time in the JJ and here--have you ever considered helping in some capacity>?
As far as the late postings I must say that is new. I think what you are seeing is folks posting to threads that are in fact old. I have not seen a delay but if you could point out some examples we could check them.
This forum is different than others. Most of them fill a social function-JCNA fills that function thru events and meetings. There is no need to pontificate on here when you can do that in person. Clubs help each other at the local level. Each club has a well trained or knowledgeable person or two. Other forums are filled with opinion and while some have the facts you must know the answer to your question to determine it from the many varied answers you will get. This forum is more factual and while you are judging activity by post I tend to look at how many are viewing the post (a hidden tool).
Finally JCNA offers a tech line for quick answers and Mr. Petry answers questions very fast and accurately. Perhaps there is not a lot of discussion because folks realize certain folks post great and accurate solutions. more in next post
