I am having trouble removing the worn brake pads from the rear l/h (have not tried r/h yet) on my '68 E-Type with the Dunlop type caliper. It is free from the rotor and I cannot see that any ridge is built up. I am guessing that the pad backing metal piece is rusted to the caliper piston. This is the first time I have tried to change pads on an E-Type. Anyone have any tips on getting them out?

Tap gently with a blunt punch using a hammer. Be sure to strike parallel to the rotor. The bonded rust should free up. Never separate the caliber.
