Guys- I've got the rear-end out and I wanted to ask everyone's opinion on the ratio to swap to.

I like driving through wine country and getting there requires some highway cruising and I don't like putting along at 70. The car is a 70 OTS and it's currently being rebuilt motor will have street cams and Rhys Kent (amazing SU carb guy in Victoria,BC ,BTW)found me a true triple xke manifold and is building up the triple SU's. The point is, it will hopefully run a weee bit stronger than stock.

The question is, giving my penchant to drive on sweeping country roads and the preponderance of highways in No Calif, whats everyone's opinion on a 2.88 versus a 3.08?

Does "off the line" performance suffer with the 2.88?
