Just one question ,Speed Demons:
Since you guys are so keen on power breathing, why don't you go for Webers instead of SU's? I hear they provide almost another 80 horse power , despite the "de-tuned cams" Joey speaks of. But since one is going with
the Ultimate in Carburetion, you might as well have semi or full race cams by Iskendarian or whatever the name is.
Just think how much fun one could have with 540 horsepower...but then, you'd have to give up the wire wheels for the steel to mount the competition tires, and a larger exhaust system, and don't forget the roll bar, and there is always the Super Charger to go on top with a slight hole in the Bonnet...
I suspect you could spend the original cost of the vehicle plus another $20 grand on this stuff. Who knows, maybe you could enter the Le Mans Classic 12 hour race ...
