David/Joseph,
Thank you for letting me know what the function of the round 3AW unit mounted under the heater box is. I never knew. At one time, it had a short black wire connected to the 3AW unit. I removed it as it was not connected to anything. If you know where I should connect the 3AW unit to please let me know. I would like to place it back in service. A picture would help.
The voltage regulator mounted just above the data plate is a new LUCAS, 4TR 37423, purchased from SNG Barrat in 2014. At the bottom of the regulator and just above the data-plate is a thin black rectangular connection. It is hard to see the wires as the curve directly behind the regulator box. It connects to the reconditioned REP Lucas 006007006-Code 7126 alternator, also purchased from SNG Barrat a couple of years ago. It maintains just over 12.4 volt with the vehicle idling. None of the interior speedometer wires are misplaced. The ignition light flashes on and off from time to time when the car is running. I would like to fix that problem if possible.
I have three Lucas 6RA relays forward of my battery. Do you know which one is the alternator relay?
Looking forward to finding out if Jack ignition light problem got resolved.
Thanks
Stephan
