I am trying to find the parts required to activate the Daytime Running lights on my 1995 XJS Convertible 4.0 litre. I have seen a post for the V12 listing 3 relays and the wiring harness, unfortunately that harness does not work for the V6. I spoke to Coventry West and they informed me that the harness is a DAC7847, which Jaguar no longer makes. Does anyone know where I might be able to get a used harness and whether or not I need the 3 relays mentioned in the other thread (2-DAC7687 and 1-DAC7686). I also assume that the wiring harness has connections to the relays?? The 6-Way and the 4-way connectors are there ready to be used and there seems to be two places where relays can be put, not sure about the third relay. Any information would be very helpful.
My Jag also starts to shake at about 65mph and it does not get better with increased speed and does not stop when I take my foot off the gas. I have booked a "road force vibration" balance appointment and was wondering if there was anything else I should be checking. Thank you

I have the running lights sorted out and thought I would add my solution in case anyone else runs into this problem. Using the wiring diagram for the Daytime running lights I was able to ascertain that yes I did need the 3 relays, so I ordered them (2-DAC7687 and 1-DAC7686) from Coventry West and I also got them to send me the female connectors for these relays to plug into. The female connectors have about 6 inches of wire hanging out and these will be soldered to the appropriate wires from the pre-wired connectors, which are located just behind the Left Front Component Panel, Fuse Panel. You would need the Daytime Running Light wiring diagram to make sure you are connecting the right wires to the right relays (Just let me know if you need the link to get this diagram). You will also need two diodes, IN4005 will work (1 Amp forward,600 volts reverse) that are connected before connectors DR4-4 and DR5-1. There are 5 wires used on the 6-way connector and 3 wires on the 4-way connector. I suggest cutting off the 6-way and 4-way connectors, and then soldering the wires from the female relay connectors to these wires and then using heat shrink over the solder joints to weather seal them, remember to slip the heat shrink onto the wire before you solder them. There is space to mount all three relays right on the relay block, on the left hand side just behind the other relays . And voila, if you wired it correctly you now have Daytime Running Lights with all the correct relays and fuses in the circuit. If anything is not clear let me know and I will try and clarify.
