Hugs and Kisses my friend!, This is a great group of ETYPE owners, that really get it.
Keith and all the rest, here is my beef with ANY hook up with the twin carb manifold to a distributor.
I have a series 3 xj6 unit distributor with triple carbs in my 70 etype coupe , runs flawless as many have converted to.
With the butterflies cut out on the twin strombergs AND the vacuum pipe is UNDERNEATH the manifiold facing down not on top facing up like the triple carb set up , what happens if UNBURNT GAS lays in the manifold and leaked DOWN into the hose to the distributor......BOOM , Im not a fan, IMHO. Remember back in the day, ALOT of these cars did go up in smoke.
