3 questions:
1) Could someone confirm how the spacer pairs are supposed to be installed? Pretty sure the old ones had the fat ends on the outside (see picture, pair on the left), but the manual from XKS Unlimited shows them with the fat ends next to each other (pair on the right). I'm guessing it's the same orientation as the originals.
2) The gas tank that came with the car was relined and I'm now reinstalling it. There's a small nipple at the base of the main pipe going into the gas tank. What connects to that? (I have a photo at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18543910/Nipple_on_Fuel_Tank.jpg)
3) The float on the sending unit should swivel freely, correct? Mine seems firmly stuck in one position, and I don't want to try TOO hard to get it moving again until I know for sure. (Photo at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18543910/Fuel_Sending_Unit.jpg)
Many thanks!

Rick, its been a while since I fussed with the gas tanks, but I let the size of the holes determine the orientatation. Because the bushings also are responsible for centering the tank on its mounts as well as giving it some flexibility, it may be that the collared ends both go downward. Be sure you get the spacers installed.
For the fuel tank float assembly, the arm should swing freely. I use Kroil to free them up as it won't attack the resin coating of the wirewound resistor inside.
