I'm having no luck finding anywhere that has a replacement for the curved plastic part that screws on top of the auto shift lever housing - the part that has the "P R N D2 D1 L" illuminated lettering. Mine is broken in a couple of places and cannot be revived. Any leads would be much appreciated!
(This is for a '69 Series II, if it matters.)
Thanks!
Julian

PRNDL auto shifter - part availability?
George, I think the Series 3 part has "P R N D 2 1", whereas the Series 1/2 has "P R N D2 D1 L" ... but maybe the dimensions are compatible as a stop-gap. Julian

Julian I am not 100% positive but I think the big difference in the parts is that the S2 cover has an "L" while the S3 has a "1". I know it is not correct but it is not expensive and might get you by till you find some NOS!

PRNDL auto shifter - part availability?
Hi George,
Yes, Barratts only seem to have the Series 3 type (BD38409), and I can't find anything at Welsh.
XKS Unlimited mark what I'm looking for (BD28667) as unavailable.
Perhaps the Series 3 type would fit? But I suspect I'll need to find a used part.
Julian

Julian--have you tried SNG Barratt and Welsh?
