I am restoring a 1952 XK120 OTS myself and want to make sure I am doing it correctly for eventual JCNA event judging. I am wondering if I should "paint" the top frames, side curtain frames (non-chromed pieces), seat frames and wire wheels, OR, is it okay if I "powder coat" the parts?
Also, what section of the JCNA website contains a .pdf document of the XK120 judging manual?
Thanks in advance for assistance. Bob

To Powder Coat or Not to Powder Coat
Robert there is only a technical seminar for the XK120 that is not (and never will be due to the wishes of the author) on line. You can get it in the JCNA Shoppe and it is quite good. A XK120 Judges guide is needed and a couple members were working on one but it has yet to come to pass. In the next two years there will be a XK120/140 and 150 Judging guide. As far as powder coat as long as it looks correct there should be no issue but wire wheels would not do well in the oven and you would never be able to tune them.
Thanks George! As always you are a big help.
