Mark what you do not say is where you are driving. If this is in town use in K-City you might be about right with the fuel blends we have for winter. If this is Highway driving--say a trip up to Leavenworth and back there is an issue. First with respects to Joey none of those things will affect mileage this way. If the car has points and is stock (hope so with 19K miles), and is running well I suggest you check your plugs. If they are dark or sooty (again more difficult with blended fuel) then I suspect someone may have replaced or set the carb needles to high. Any resistance of wheel bearings for 40% or more of your mileage would melt the bearings. If your tires (tyres) were so poorly deflated you would see that in the carcass on the road behind you. My guess with the info here is you are running too rich--perhaps there is an issue with the chokes but if this is highway you are putting too much fuel into the kitty. Your oil should be black at this point if that is true. Let us know.
