Section 9. Parliamentary Authority: Robert's Rules of Order shall be the parliamentary authority of the JCNA.
Proposed:
Section 9. Parliamentary Authority. The rules contained in the current edition of Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised (RONR) shall govern the proceedings of JCNA in all cases to which it is applicable and which it is not inconsistent with these bylaws, and any special rules of order that JCNA may adopt".
Reason: The current bylaws do not specify which version of Robert's Rules of Order are to be used.
This is a housekeeping change as recommended by the Parliamentarian, Lou Fasulo, who will be our Parliamentarian at the 2009 AGM.
