Any one got a trick on how to get the rubber oil seal ring out once you take the filter can off?

I have never used a lift to just change oil. No need. All can be reached with the car on the ground--just hope some monkey has nto put the oil drain on!

Thanks George. I plan on ordering the manual for sure.

Yeah, it has all the parts. I got everything thing back together so now its just the moment of truth once I get all the oil in. It would be a lot easier if I had this thing up on a lift..... Jacking the front end up on jack stands just isnt enough room for me. haha. But at least the oil filter is in a reasonable enough spot to get to. I have had my fare share of cars where the smallest of hands cant get to.

Blake if you remember that is exactly why I suggested you go to the service manuals--this will be the first of your questions. Take a pic and coax the olr ring out. Then select the correct replacement from the two that were in the filter kit and work it in (sort of like a tupperware lid). On to your filter canister--are the correct parts in it? You should have a plate, spring, retaining clip, seat washer, and felt gasket?
