I just bought a 1956 Drophead coupe. The car has been parked for a long time and I will obviously need to change all the fluids. The manual recommended different weights for summer, winter and tropical. With todayÔÇÖs oils what is recommended?
Thanks
Jim

Use full synthetic 5w30. I like Castrol Syntec. You may get some new oil leaks, as this stuff doesn't have additives that cause your seals to swell, plus it goes where no oil has ever gone before. The factory book was written before multi-viscosity oils were perfected, much less synthetics.
