I am thinking mechanical advance occasionally sticking.
1964 2.4L, sometimes pings like crazy.
This morning, no problem.
Late morning, pinged HARD in all 4 gears, just would not go away.
Power fine, temperature exactly where it always is, oil fine, no gauge issues.
Then, it all cleared up, and no ping anywhere (unless I try to pull away from a signal in 4th).
So, what has anyone experienced with this?
If I hasd an extreme lean condition, I would have seen it in power, and no change at all.
