I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their vote of confidence in electing me as Director for the Southwest Region.
For those of you who do not know me, I would like to introduce myself and give you some background information.
My early background began in Public Relations and Marketing for Resorts, CasinoÔÇÖs and Businesses in the Lake Tahoe and Reno areas.
I served on the Board of Directors for the Kiwanis Club of South Lake Tahoe and I chaired a committee created to publish a directory for handicapped people in the South Lake Tahoe area.
I have been involved with the Jaguar community for over 30 years. I started as a member in the Reno Jaguar Club and was active being involved in numerous club activities. I have always had a passion for Jaguars since I was a child. I have a total commitment to the preservation of Jaguars and I enjoy helping individuals attain their Jaguar dreams through the restoration process and locating specific Classic Jaguars.
My wife Debbie and I moved to the San Diego area in 1989. I became a member of the San Diego Jaguar Club and have enjoyed participating in the activities of the club.
My business, Classic Showcase has sponsored the Rally Event for the JCNA Challenge Championship for 2007, 2005 and 2003. Classic Showcase will be sponsoring the Rally event at the Western States 2008 in Grand Junction, CO.
Classic Showcase has also been a host facility for JCNA judges training for the last 6 years. Chief Judge Dick Cavicke is the instructor in these training programs. I also share my knowledge and understanding with other Jaguar Collectors and help them understand the rules for JCNA judging standards. It is a very informative experience and those who attend are greatful for the experience.
For the last two years and again this year, I have put together a committee of certified judges, and we go to Mexico City to help in training them with the procedures for judging for their Club Jaguar Mexico City Concours. I also work closely with the Mexico City Jaguar ClubÔÇÖs Officers and members and it has been an exciting and rewarding experience. I invited them to join us at the recent Challenge Championship in Indianapolis, Indiana and three of their Officers were able to attend. This helps to create International Relationships for JCNA. The Mexico City Jaguar Club OfficerÔÇÖs have been invited to the Western States 2008 in Grand Junction, CO as well.
I look forward to serving JCNA and making a difference in our JCNA club and the overall membership as well.
