update for everyone i checked the fuel pressure at the rail and i am getting 40 lbs which from what everyone is saying is good i am starting to think i have a bad ecu if any know where i can get with out spending a fortune or has one leave me a message or call me at 19083263015
the ecu # is DAC 4118

If you haven't done so already, go to www.jag-lovers.org and download "The Book" by Kirby Palm. It contains a huge amount of information on every aspect of the XJS. There is a large section about the ECU and the entire ignition system. You may find it helpful. To the extent that there are alternate replacements available, you should find them there.
