I will be flying to Palm Desert CA Thursday to take possession of a 1970 xke fhc 2+2. I have been looking to purchase an E-type for years, and this one just came up for sale a few days ago. The price was too good to pass up. The seller says it is a 1-owner car, always been there in Palm Desert, 80K miles, so it has been used, but not worn out. The exterior looks super, all original, and the interior also looks great.
Question: does anyone have a recommendation for a repair shop/mechanic in the Springfield, MO area? I have located a shop in Nixa, MO that advertises as a European sports car shop, but it would be nice to have a recommendation from someone who has experience.
Question 2: I would like to have shoulder belts installed. Is this something that can be purchased online? Also along the same lines, can seat and shoulder belts be installed for the rear seat?
