Hi,
Recently purchased a new Jag xk140 driver. My intention is to keep it a driver and not restore it. My last esperience with British cars (TR3s)was around 35 years ago. I am hoping that someone can answer the following questions for me.
1) The bonnetlatch cable broke. The last owner installed a second cable coming into the right wheel well - just in case this happened. Unfortunately for me this does not work either. I can see the latch move from under the car but it does not release fully. There may be a loose screw or something keeping it from moving fully - any suggestions??
2) I can not turn the steering column adjustment nut. I put lubrication on the splines but it has not helped at all. I believer it is supposed to turn clockwise as viewed from the drivers seat. Any comments?
3) Has any one had experience using Raammat sound dampening material?
