Hello everyone,

I'm helping my aunt find a 2003-2004 X type 3.0 Jag. She currently has a 2003 Lexus ES 300 with approx. 8000 miles (driving about 4500 miles/year)in great shape, but feels the car is too big for her and finds trouble with visibility and blind spots. I have no personal experience whatsoever with Jaguar, and my knowledge of the X type is limited to car mag reviews & NY Times articles. We'd greatly appreciate your thoughts and experiences with such model. Also, what is a fair price for leftover 2004 3.0 X type or certified used 2003?

TIA.

Paul,

The X-type is a great car. AWD, nicely appointed. It's a good choice, for sure in that size car. Best thing to do is shop around a bit. Call several local dealers (you don't say where you are, but if you're in the NY metro area, there are a bunch of them), and do a little price shopping. Then go and check them out in person.

Have fun.
