Lynn Cunningham, the newly appointed Southeast Regional Director and HPDE Coordinator, has also been appointed as the JCNA's Sanction Chair. Lynn is a fine example of a regional director willing to step to the plate to help run the JCNA.
Lynn replaces Dick Howe, sanction chair for more seasons than I can remember. Dick handled this job along with being our secretary, regalia and boutique chairs, and concours trophy administrator. Thankfully, he retains the trophy administration, boutique, and regalia, for the JCNA.
For his many years of generous service, he received the Andrew Whyte Service Award at a recent JCNA AGM.
All JCNA's competition events, whether Concours, Rally, or Slalom, require a sanction in order for their scores to be counted in year-end competition for North American JCNA awards. By filing for a sanction, the affiliate is assured that no competing event will be held that same weekend in like competition, without their approval. By a sanction having been requested, the JCNA is assured that the event will be conducted under JCNA rules, and that insurance certificate has been filed for.
We owe both Dick and Lynn our sincere appreciation for their efforts!
