Bought this 2002 XK8 convert july 2012. Drove home to NW Wash. from Fla. Ran great.
Prev. alarm issue due to unexplained battery voltage drop. Battery installed new by seller when I bought car. I checked voltage at 3 volts. Removed batt & slo charged. Chked out at 12.8 v. Confirmed at auto parts store & batt. was at 90% of full charge. Reinstalled & reset window drop, clock etc. Everything functioned fine. Armed & disarmed sec. sys.several times. Worked properly. However car, now, will not start. Starter engages but their seems to be no spark. Ckd. Emergency fuel shut off but it was undisturbed. I suspect something inhibiting ignition. Immobilizer should be deactivated since I'm using original key . Remote (battery) checks good & remote functions all work. What am I not seeing here???? Any advice would be appreciated.
