The fuel line fittings that connect to the gas tank on my 89 XJ6 VDP leak.... badly.... After removing the tank to find the source of the leak I found that both of the slip fittings are leaking fuel. Does anyone know the cause of this problem? Can I just replace the O-rings, or do I need the entire fuel hose?

It is an unusual problem, but I would suggest replacing the o rings perhaps without refitting everything to see if in fact they still leak.
