Air-filter & all fluids (except transmission/differential) changed; original tires replaced w/ContiExtremeWinterContact; getting 18mpg-local & 21mpg-highway.
Pre-purchase inspection by local dealership (Wagner) indicated that 2-issues required attention:
1 -- 'cracked' control-arm bushing;
2 -- preventive-maintenance 'replacement' of upper chain-tensioners & gaskets.
Also, 'additional diagnosis' necessary to determine reason for heavy-effort required for steering at initial/low-speed ... improved with tire replacement.
Other than the dealership, 4-mechanics expressed refusal/reluctance to become involved with anything except the most basic work.
