'92 XJ6 Sovereign - owned since '95
I have a number of issues with My '92 XJ6, these are the most severe:
1) Oil leak at front of engine, Seems to be coming from Distributor housing, Is this likely? Too high up to be a front seal. Replaced Cam cover gasket a few times over life and is not leaking now.
2) Fuel tank will only accept 8 - 9 gallons MAXIMUM at empty. I get a, "CHECK ENGINE" warning with a VCM message of, "FUEL 44/FAIL 44.
3) I already have had hydraulic ride replaced, about five years ago, with standard suspension/strut components, also, new power rack steering unit. Now, the Mineral Oil reservoir leaks profusely from the cap as though it has too much back pressure. empties itself within 100 miles.
4) I have lost My "CODE" for the radio and the local Jaguar dealer says that they can only retrieve the code back to '93 now. Any Ideas?
