had my car at a car show saturday, left the key in the car, well guess what ? my 2004 XJR key fob is gone, MY question is where can I get a new one , and what do they cost ? I do have a spare thank God.. thanks Mikey

Michael if it was a JCNA show that would amaze me that the keys were taken. What I could see is that a good member noticed you left your keys in the switch and removed them and placed them under the mats. Have you looked? While anything can happen in all my years I have not exp. theft at a JCNA event including tool kits and the like. Hope you find them.

Michael,

A replacement key, and having it programmed to start the car will probably run $200-$300. If you feel the key was actually stolen, I would get the new one pretty soon. Right now, that stolen key can still start your car. Once the new key and remaining key are programmed, that will disable the stolen key from being able to start the car. It will still unlock the car, but it won't start the engine.

I wouldn't dilly-dally, for safety's sake.
